Black Health Month
Black Women know how hard it is to keep their hair in good shape. We do all sorts of things to our hair which may not always be beneficial. But here are some tips to increase your hair growth, quality, luster and shine.
1st -- understand your hair. Know if your hair is coarse, fine, thick, thinning, curly, straight, etc. It helps to talk to a beautician who really knows hair--whether natural or relaxed. He/she can let you know what to do and what to put on your hair to help from the outside in, especially when experiencing different and harsh weather climates. When you know and understand your hair then you can work with it, not fight against it.
2nd -- drink plenty of water. Staying hydrated strengthens and adds luster to your hair.
3rd -- eat well-balanced meals. Include good fats to keep your skin and scalp moisturized.
4th -- take vitamins and supplements such as HSN-W, Super Omega-3 EPA, or Jojoba Oil (apply to scalp)
5th -- find a way to reduce and relieve stress. Stress can affect your hair.
